Great Wakering Rovers v Brentwood – Pitching In Isthmian League North – Burroughs Park – Tuesday 7:45pm – Preview

Jekyll and Hyde Great Wakering Rovers will be looking to transfer their impressive cup form into Pitching In Isthmian League North points when Brentwood visit Burroughs Park on Tuesday evening.

Rovers progressed to the third qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy with an impressive 2-1 victory at Chichester City at the weekend. However, they haven’t won any of their opening five league games and are currently propping up the table with a single point from the fifteen on offer.

“It’s a massive game for us,” boss, Steve Butterworth told Yellow Sport.

“We need to carry the cup performances into the league matches. They are the proof of what the players are capable of.

“We have Ash Nzala available after suspension. I also hope to be adding a new signing to the group in time for the game.

“We have a twenty-man squad to select from. There are no excuses.”
