Johnson brace boosts O’s play-off hopes

Mansfield Town 0-2 Leyton Orient

A goal in each half from leading marksman, Danny Johnson was enough to see off Mansfield Town and move Leyton Orient within a point of the Sky Bet League Two play-off places.

Johnson fired his first in the fifth minute after Sam Ling had fashioned an opening. Then ensured the O’s fourth victory on the spin, sending a left-footed strike beyond Stags stopper Aidan Stone thirteen minutes from time.

The victory moves Orient into ninth place. They return to Sky Bet League Two action on Monday, April 5 when Walsall visit the Breyer Group Stadium (1pm).
