Dagenham & Redbridge have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of former Northern Ireland under 21 international, Joey Jones.
The 26-year-old arrived at the Chigwell Construction Stadium following spells with fellow Vanarama National League sides, Salford City and Eastleigh.
The player started his career with Arsenal and Leicester City – he also represented both Yeovil Town and Woking as well as earning 27 under 21 caps for his country.
Speaking to www.daggers.co.uk. , Jones said: “I’m buzzing to be here and I can’t wait to get out there. It has been a long time since I’ve been out on the pitch because of COVID and other things so I’m really excited to get going.
“I’ve got a lot of experience in this division and I know what it’s about and what it takes to get into the play-offs and be up there come the end of the season.
Jones added: “Predominantly I play at centre-half, but I can play in central or holding midfield, which is where I played for Salford. I like to bring the ball out from the back and play in front of me and I would say that I’m a good reader of the game and I like to defend.
“My aim is to come in and make an impact, get us playing some good football and winning games.”
