Lacklustre Daggers are beaten by Aldershot

Dagenham & Redbridge 0-2 Aldershot Town

Dagenham & Redbridge slipped to a disappointing Vanarama National League defeat as goals either side of half-time from Mohamed Bettamer and Jon Nouble earned Aldershot Town the points at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Bettamer converted a first-half penalty after Harry Panayiotou’s effort had been handled, while Nouble profited from Jermaine Anderson’s toil to secure the victory.

Earlier, Kenny Clark and Will Wright went close for the home side. They remain in seventeenth place as a result.

Dagenham & Redbridge return to Vanarama National League action on Saturday, April 10 when they take on Bromley at Hayes Lane (3pm).
