Emma Lamb made history by becoming the first batter to score an unbeaten Charlotte Edwards Cup century, helping Thunder to a comfortable victory over the Sunrisers at Old Trafford.

Lamb stylish knock came during 78 minutes in the middle, contriving of 61 balls – including eleven 4s and three 6s.

Georgie Boyce contributed 34 and Ellie Threlkeld 26* on what proved to be a tough day for the visitors. Cordelia Griffith’s catch off a ball from Gayatri Gole to dismiss Boyce the only crumb of comfort to come their way.

Lamb then took centre stage with the ball, taking 3/16, while Cross and Cleary took two apiece. Sunrisers were never really in the contest – Griffiths’ top-scoring with 34.
