Officers from Basildon Community Policing Team received some important help from a 4-year-old girl over the weekend.
Layla-Rose and her mother found a lost 3-year-old girl in Basildon’s busy town centre on Saturday August 31.
The lost girl was too shy to talk to adults or officers but Layla-Rose stepped up and made friends with the little girl and asked her questions on their behalf. She also held the little girl’s hand until she was reunited with her mother.
To thank Layla-Rose for her kind and mature actions, Police Community Support Officers presented her with a certificate signed by the District Commander for Basildon, Chief Inspector Chris Bradford and a special honorary police bear.
