Leigh On Sea remain bottom of the table following their seven-wicket defeat at Old brents.

The visitors were dismissed inside 42 overs for 164. Skipper, Kevin Sargent top-scored, finishing unbeaten on 34. Fawad Mullahzadah returned three for 41, while Khalid Sarwar took 2/21.

Wicketkeeper/batter, Krupesh Patel, looked set for his half-century before he was trapped lbw by Tim Knox on 47. However, the damage had been done. Imran Qadir (35*) and Wasim Khalid (31*) saw the hosts’ home with a minimum of fuss. TJ Bailey and James Bunce joined Knox amongst the wickets for beleaguered Leigh. 

With Westcliff On Sea losing to Orsett & Thurrock, Old Brents took over at the top of the table, holding a three-point advantage over the Chalkwell Park outfit.
