Akash Raji hit a quite brilliant unbeaten 144 off 141 balls, while Mohammad Ahktar chipped in with 87, skipper Nigel Jacobs 61 and Haaris Ayub 52 as the East Londoners amassed 414/4 from their 50 overs. The wickets were shared between Tim Knox, George Thurlow, Matthew Taylor-Smith and Jake McMullen.

Theeban Tavarasa proved to be lethal with the ball for Ilford, taking five Leigh wickets for 38, while Prahathen Jayarooban and Ahktar took two apiece. McMullen’s half-century of little consolation for the well-beaten visitors.
