Limrick has six-appeal as Brentwood romp to victory at Chelmsford

Chelmsford 59 (23.5 overs)
Brentwood 63/1 (8.3 overs
Brentwood won the toss and elected to bowl
Brentwood won by nine wickets

Connor Limrick proved to be Brentwood’s star turn as they romped to a nine-wicket Gooch Division victory over old adversaries, Chelmsford at Chelmer Park.

Having invited the hosts to bat, Brentwood made short work of the Chelmsford order with Limrick impressively taking 6/18 off six overs.

Indeed, only a mild wage from the Chelmsford tail which saw Liam Keaney left unbeaten on 19 offered Brentwood – who at one point had Chelmsford at 26/8 – any form of resistance.

Skipper, Aaron West, and Eddie Ballard carried the visitors to the threshold before the latter was caught by Jack Sterland off the bowling of Sam Cook. However, West hit Cook across the rope to ensure victory in double-quick time
