Lorry driver charged following collision in Chelmsford

A man has been charged in connection with a collision in Chelmsford yesterday.

A car and a lorry were in collision in Boyton Hall Lane at around 10.35am on Tuesday July 5.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital.

The lorry driver – Vyavtas Morkvnas, 44, of Haupstrasse, Hattenhofen in Germany – was arrested and has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He is due top appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday July 7.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact them.
