Man and woman threatened in Theydon Bois robbery

Police are investigating a robbery which took place in Theydon Bois during which items of value were stolen.

Officers were called to Loughton Lane shortly after 5.20am on Tuesday September 20.

Three men had entered the property and threatened a man and a woman with weapons before leaving with a number of items, including Rolex watches, other jewellery and iPhones.

The suspects were aged in their mid-20s, dressed in black tracksuits and wearing hooded tops.

It is believed they left in the direction of Loughton.

Detective Inspector Tony Atkin, who is leading the investigation, said: “Incidents such as this will naturally cause concern within the community, but I would say that our enquiries to date suggest this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the Theydon Bois community.

“We are following a number of lines of enquiry. I would encourage anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen, or have of dashcam footage of, cars driving in Loughton Lane between 4.45am and 5.30am on Tuesday to get in touch.”
