Man arrested after Co-op robbery in Billericay

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a robbery in Billericay.

Police received a number of calls to a Co-op store in The Pantiles, off Queens Park Avenue, shortly after 10.45pm last night, Saturday June 22.

During the incident, four people entered the shop and stole about £1,000 worth of tobacco and cigarettes from behind the counter.

Later, a vehicle of interest was stopped in Havering and a man was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Polic would like to hear from anyone who was in the area last night and witnessed any suspicious behaviour or has any dashcam footage of the area at the time.
