Man arrested after fire in Southend

Police have arrested a man following a fire at an address in Southend.

Officers were called to South Avenue at around 8.40pm on Thursday February 3 by oEssex Fire and Rescue Service.

No one is believed to have been injured.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life. He remains in custody.
