Man arrested in connection with assault on Southend

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault in Southend.

The 28-year-old victim was pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched in Marine Parade, Southend, at 1.50am on Sunday August 22.

He suffered fractures to his eye socket and nose.

A 20-year-old man from Poplar in east London was arrested on Friday October 8 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He has been released under investigation.
