Man assaulted in Southend

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Southend.

A man in his 50s was struck to the face in Victoria Avenue between 2.10pm and 2.20pm on Sunday (October 2).

He was attacked by a man described to us as white and wearing all black clothing with a white strip on top and holding a mobile phone.

He walked down Victoria Avenue in the direction of Priory Park.
