Man charged after disturbance in Loughton

A man has been charged following a serious assault in Colebrook Gardens, Loughton.

Police were called just before 1am on Sunday August 30, following a disturbance in which a man in his 30s was stabbed.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Sean Thompson, 32, of Colebrook Gardens, Loughton was arrested on Monday August 31 and later charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded to prison and is due to next appear at Chelmsford Crown court on Tuesday September 29.
