Man charged in connection with theft from vehicles in Rochford

Police investigating multiple thefts from vehicles, fraud and vehicle interference in Rochford have secured charges against a man.

On several occasions between March and April, entry was gained to vehicles and items including bank cards stolen.

These cards were subsequently reportedly used at nearby shops.

Mark Harris, 39, of Leicester Avenue, Rochford, has been charged with three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, seven counts of vehicle interference and two counts of fraud by false representation.

He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday April 29 and was remanded in custody until a hearing at Basildon Crown Court on Monday June 3.
