Man charged with immigration offences after people found in lorry trailer in Brentwood

A fast-paced investigation has resulted in a man being charged with breaching immigration laws.

Officers were alerted to concerns for the welfare of eight males in a lorry trailer at a location in Brentwood, on Thursday August 24.

The eight people, comprising five adults and three juveniles, received a medical check and were deemed safe and well.

Hulidau Pavel, 28, of no fixed address, has since been charged with facilitating unlawful entry into the UK.

He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday August 26).
