Man injured in Horndon-on-the-Hill pub assault

Police are investigating an assault in Horndon-on-the-Hill which left a man with a potentially life-changing injury.

It was reported the victim, a man in his 40s, was attacked by another man who threw him over a chair at the Swann Inn in High Road at around 8.15pm on Saturday June 17.

The victim was then punched.

He was taken to hospital and had sustained a broken leg.

It’s believed the attacker may have driven a Citreon Berlingo van.

This incident took place in a busy pub and police believe people will have seen what happened.
