Police are appealing for information relating to a serious assault during which the victim was repeatedly kicked whilst on the floor.
The incident happened when the victim, a 50-year-old man, was walking in the alleyway next to Westcliff train station, at the bottom of Valkyrie Road at 6.40pm on Friday November 1.
As he turned to walk into the alleyway he was approached by two men on a bike who launched an unprovoked attack, repeatedly kicking him to the floor. Nothing was taken and he was left with a broken arm.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The first suspect was a white man, around 6ft tall, thought to be in his late teens, with short fair hair and was wearing a grey or beige top. He was sat on the handle bars of a bike ridden by his accomplice.
The second suspect was a black man, around 6ft tall, also thought to be aged in his late teens. He may have been wearing a green top and was riding a pedal bike.
Witnesses or anyone with information can contact PC Heather Wren at Southend CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
