Man seriously injured in Basildon assault

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Basildon.

It was reported a man in his 50s was punched in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor in Wash Road, outside the Noak Bridge pub, at around 12.10am on Sunday January 27.

He has sustained a serious head injury which has been described as life-changing.

There was a large crowd outside and the pub itself was very busy at the time so polic believe there will be people who saw what happened.
