Man stabbed in Southend

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was found injured on York Road, Southend, last night.

Police were called by colleagues at the ambulance services around 10.45pm on Thursday September 15, with reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

Southend Community Policing Team Sergeant, David Gardiner said: “We understand that incidents like this are worrying to the local community.

“Our officers are on scene so please do speak to them if you have concerns or information about what happened.”
