Man suffers broken leg during unprovoked attack in Southend

Police are investigating after a man suffered a broken leg during an unprovoked attack in Southend.

The victim, a man aged in his 20s, had gone to Tesco, near to the Kursaal, in Southchurch Avenue, at about 11pm on Friday April 23.

As he left the store, he was kicked by a man. During the assault, he sustained a broken leg.

The attacker was wearing a grey hooded top, with his hood up, and is about 6ft tall and of stocky build.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the assault to come forward.
