Police are investigating reports that a man tried to get a 10 year-old boy to get into his van in Maldon.
The boy was walking with two friends when he was approached by a man in Longfellow Road at around 3.35pm on Friday February 28.
It was reported the man asked where they live and asked them to get into his van but they refused.
The man has been described to us as white, in his mid-40s, 5ft 10ins tall, of large build with stubble and possibly brown hair.
He was wearing a baseball cap, a black t-shirt with white writing on, a grey body warmer, black Puma shorts with a blue stripes down the side, football socks and shin pads.
He was also carrying an Adidas bag, walked with a limp, and possibly had a cut on his right knee.
