HULLBRIDGE SPORTS manager, Darren Manning, delivered his own tribute after it was announced that highly regarded frontman, Luke Hornsley, would be leaving the Lower Road club.
Hornsley hit a century of goals in 164 appearances for the Isthmian League North outfit, confirming his place as a firm favourite with the Hullbridge supporters.
The players’ next destination is unclear. However, his impact during two spells with the club was crystalised by boss, Manning; “Luke has been brilliant in my time at the club over his two spells,” he told Yellow Sport.
“His goal record speaks for itself and I can’t thank him enough for his contribution on and off the field during that time.
“I speak on behalf of the whole club when I wish him nothing but success in his next chapter.”
