Paul McCallum struck nine minutes from time to send Dagenham & Redbridge back into the Vanrama National League play-off places.
Relegation haunted Weymouth had given the East Londoners a first-half scare, taking the lead through Josh McQuoid following good work from Sean Shields.
The daggers had to wait until midway through the second period before they drew level. Josh Walker profiting from McCallum’s tool to score.
Former West Ham United and Portsmouth man, McCallum headed the winner in the final stages, lifting then Daggers into seventh place. They return to Vanarama National League action on Saturday, January 28 when FC Halifax Town are the visitors to the Chigwell Construction Stadium for the clubs’ popular Diversity Day fixture (3pm).
