Alleyn Court Aces and Eastwood played out a fiercely contested and dramatic East Division encounter with the visitors snatching victory off the penultimate ball.

The Aces recovered from 15 for three to post a competitive 176 for five. Finley Payne and Dylan Batt returned not out on fifty – Their partnership gleaning 97. Rhys Tomlin claimed two for 18 for the visitors.

Luke Harp got Eastwood off to a flyer with 37 for 22 balls, but the Aces pegged them back to 92 for six before Brett Deeming (46) and Michael Stirrup got them within touching distance.

Syam Samudrala hit the winning boundary to confirm Eastwood’s victory by two wickets.

At Chalkwell Park, Westcliff On Sea’s 1st team and Rettendon played out an eighteen over-per-side match with the home side winning by three wickets.

Rettendon posted 97 for nine with Will Nolde scoring 39. Shaw returned figures of three for 12 for Westcliff.

Casson had two for 20, but his efforts were in vain as Westcliff reached their target with eleven balls to spare. Patel (33) and Singh 20* doing the bulk of the work with the bat.
