Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League – Turf Moor – Report
Burnley 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur’s Jekyll and Hyde season continued as they slipped to a single-goal defeat at relegation-haunted Burnley.
Clarets skipper, Ben Mee came up with the games’ decisive moment, heading home a Josh Brownhill free-kick midway through the second half.
Jay Rodriguez passed up a glorious late opportunity to add gloss to the scoreline. Tottenham, who had stunned Manchester City at the weekend, went close through Dejan Kulusevski and Steven Bergwijn but ultimately flattered to deceive on what proved to be another frustrating night.
Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action on Saturday, February 26 when they face Leeds United at Elland Road (12:30pm).
