Garon Park Walking Football Club experienced indifferent results in the latest round of Essex Walking Football League over 50s fixtures staged at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford.
The Southend-based club got off to a flying start with a single-goal success over Colchester Phoenix Yellows – Paul Holloway with the all-important strike.
However, that was as good as it got for Garon. Colchester Phoenix Blue edged a close encounter by a goal to nil and despite a battling performance and goals Holloway – his second of the round – and Barry Buzer, it was Clacton Knights who won a thrilling encounter by three goals to two.
Garon Park now sits fourteen in the eighteen-team league with two victories from nine matches.
