Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage of a collision in Basildon this morning

Officers were notified by colleagues in the ambulance service at 7.45am of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle near to McDonalds at the Mayflower Retail Park.

The rider, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries.
