Sky Bet League Two outfit, Colchester United have confirmed that Hayden Mullins has been appointed as the clubs’ new first-team manager on a permanent basis.
The former Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Portsmouth midfielder was handed the U’s role on an interim basis following Wayne Brown’s departure in March. The 42-year-old, aided by the experienced Paul Tisdale, guided Colchester clear of the relegation zone, finishing the campaign unbeaten in five outings.
