SOUTHEND SAXONS have announced that Tom Reeman and Tom Ramsey have put pen to paper on new contracts with the Warners Bridge club.
This news has come as a tremendous boost for the Saxon, who are chasing promotion from London One North. Indeed, Director of Rugby, Josh Ward, was clearly buoyed by the pair committing themselves to the club.
On Reeman, Ward enthused: “Tom has developed a lot over the last year since his injury, surgery and rehab, his technical ability and reading of the game has seen him put in some excellent performances.
He’s one of the best scrummaging props in this league in my opinion, and as an added bonus, can play across the front row! He loves and knows the club well and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to drive this group forwards over the coming seasons, he is one of the blokes who bleed brown and white.”
And the DOR was similarly delighted with Ramsey’s pledge, adding: “Rambo’s progression over the past six months has been huge. Having experienced Saxons rugby from a very young age he is now an ‘experienced’ member of our squad which will only be a good thing as he progresses.
He has a unique ability to find space out of nowhere in attack and is continuously developing a strong technical kicking game. I’m delighted he’s decided to stay at the club and continue his development here.”
