Vanarama National League

Southend United came from behind to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches with a 1-1 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge at Roots Hall.  

Ryan Hill shot Daggers into the lead in the fourteenth minute before Danny Waldron slotted home Harry Cardwell’s cross to restore parity two minutes after the break.        

Vanarama National League North

Bishop’s Stortford’s disastrous season continued with a 5-0 home loss to Scunthorpe United – their thirteenth successive league defeat – to leave Blues twenty-four points off the safety zone with relegation all but a mathematical certainty. Daniel Whitehall netted a first-half hat-trick with subs Flynn Clarke and Daniel Elliott also on target for Scunthorpe.

Vanarama National League South

In-form Braintree Town extended their unbeaten run to eleven matches after a 1-1 draw against Slough Town at the Rare Breeds Meat Co. Stadium.  

Aaron Blair put the Iron one up just before the hour mark – his fourth goal in successive games – before sub–Trae Cook Appiah, on his Rebels’ debut, equalised in the seventy-third minute to clinch a point. 

Second-placed Chelmsford City enjoyed a comprehensive 4-1 win over Truro City at Meadow Park with George Alexander netting twice from the spot and further goals from Cameron James and Ody Alfa. Tyler Harvey scored the Tinners’ goal. 

Malachi Linton scored twice in the second half as Weymouth took the points with a 2-0 win over Aveley at Parkside. The defeat leaves the Millers in ninth spot – just a point outside the play-off places.

Pitching-In Isthmian League Premier Division

Despite table-topping Hornchurch’s falling behind to an eighth-minute opener from Alfie Bridgman, the Urchins scored twice deep into stoppage time at the end of the match to clinch a 2-1 win at Bognor Regis Town. 

Liam Nash and Lewis Manor both netted to claim the points just after Rocks’ Craig Robson was shown a straight red card following a poor challenge on Femi Akinwande.   

Wingate & Finchley moved up into third place in the table after a 2-0 victory over Canvey Island at the Movie Starr Stadium. Ruben Carvalho and Anointed Chukwa were the Blues’ goal scorers. 

Haringey Borough secured a 1-0 win over fellow relegation strugglers Cheshunt at Coles Park, with debutant Olu Durojaiye slotting home the winner in the thirty-fourth minute.

Second-place Chatham Town saw off the challenge of struggling Concord Rangers in a 2-1 win at the Bauvill Stadium. Kareem Isiaka and Chris Dickson were both on target for the Chats while Chris Regis netted for the Beach Boys. 

Hashtag United, who raced into a 4-0 lead within the hour – with goals from Nathan Smith (2) Misha Djemelli and Sakaryia Hassan, took the points in a 4-2 win over Margate at the Len Salmon Stadium. Ben Greenhalgh netted twice near the end, but it was too late to inspire a Gate comeback.  

Pitching-In Isthmian League North

In-form Brentwood Town took the points with a 1-0 win over Enfield at the Brentwood Centre Arena with sub-Samuel Jeremiah netting Blues’ winner in the fifty-third minute.     

Sub Dan Brock hit a late stoppage-time winner as Brightlingsea Regent clinched a 1-0 win over New Salamis at North Road.  

Bowers & Pitsea enjoyed a comprehensive 3-0 win over Maldon & Tiptree at Park Drive with Solomon Addy netting twice – including one from the spot – with former Jammer’s striker Thomas Stagg also on target for Bowers.

Basildon United saw off the challenge of struggling Grays Athletic with a 2-1 win at Gardiners Lane. Jack Humphry’s header put the visitors one up in the first minute before Ben Allen’s brace scooped the three points for the Bees.

Redbridge recorded their first away win of the season with Bradley Bennett and Samson Uwandu on target in the Motormen’s 2-0 victory at Walthamstow.

Bury Town continued their recent winning run with a 2-0 victory at Witham Town. Cemal Ramadan netted both Blues goals.

The spoils were shared at Dellwood Avenue with second-place Felixstowe & Walton United playing out a goalless draw against Steve Tilson’s Heybridge Swifts.     

Essex Senior League Premier Division

Runaway league leaders Tilbury moved another step closer to the title with Alex Clark netting for the Dockers in their 1-0 victory over Saffron Walden Town. 

Second-place Woodford Town took the points after a 3-1 win over Frenford on Friday evening. Alex Bolovan (2) and Peter Angelov scored for Town whilst substitute Dion Johnston hit a late consolation for the visitors.

Hullbridge Sports ran out 5-2 winners at FC Clacton, with Aluwatobi Coker (2) Adam Topley, Jonathan Evans and Owen Bellamy on target for Sports, whilst Noah Alsterlind and Jenson Mulqueen scored Clacton’s goals.

Reece Conway and Jamie Bennett netted in each half as Stanway Rovers overcame Coggeshall Town 2-0 to leave the Seed Growers nineteen points from safety with relegation all but confirmed.

Sporting Bengal United ran out 4-0 winners at Halstead Town with Freddy Tandon hitting a hat-trick and Tanvir Ahmed also on target.

George Thompson and George Johnson were Buckhurst Hill’s scorers in their 2-0 victory over Takeley.

On Friday night, relegation-threatened Ilford, after trailing to Daniel Rowe’s first-half goal, came back to clinch a 3-1 win over Little Oakley at the Lawtech Stadium. Joel Appiah, Emmanuel Wazola and sub-Mohamed Habib were all on target for the Foxes.   

ProKit UK Essex Olympian Football League

Mitchell Ali netted twice in Old Southendian’s 2-1 win at Runwell Sports with Luke Wilson netting for Sports. The victory sees Old Southendians maintain their place at the top of the table – four points ahead of Rayleigh Town, who have four games in hand.

Harry Kateley’s brace saw Springfield through to a 2-1 win over Canning Town at West Ham Community Ground 3g Pitch.

Toby and Bishop’s Stortford Swifts drew 1-1 at Nursery Sports Ground. Dominic Cooper hit Toby’s goal and Mitchell Burr scored for Swifts.

Aaron Baldwin, Ben Burrows, Callum Matthews and James Warder were all on target for Catholic United in their 4-2 win at Shenfield Association. Conor O’Regan and Jack Panons scored for Shenfield.
