Norman late strike sinks O’s

Leyton Orient v Newport County – Sky Bet League Two – Breyer Group Stadium – Report

Leyton Orient 0-1 Newport County

Out of sorts, Leyton Orient saw their winless Sky Bet League Two sequence extended to four matches as promotion-chasing Newport County snatched maximum points at the Breyer Group Stadium.

Cameron Norman arrived unmarked to head home five minutes from time after former West Ham United man, Josh Pask had flicked on following a flag-kick.

O’s had huffed and puffed but rarely threatened the Welshmen. County stopper, Nick Townsend saved late on from Dan Moss and Otis Khan, but there was no way through for the East Londoners.

Leyton Orient return to Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday, January 28 when they face Mansfield Town at the One Call Stadium (3pm).
