Off duty Metropolitan Police officers assaulted in Billericay

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Billericay last night, Wednesday July 7.

Officers were called to Billericay train station just after 10.50pm, where two men, since confirmed by a family member as being off duty Metropolitan Police officers, were found injured near the taxi rank, having been assaulted by two men who were not known to them.

One of the men suffered a minor injury. The second suffered a serious injury but is in a stable condition.
