Wakering Sports 2-0 Old Southendian Reserves

DAVID MANLEY was left frustrated with his Old Southendian Reserve side after their participation in this seasons Essex Premier Cup was brought to a crashing conclusion by Wakering Sports at Cupids.

Second-half goals from Pallett and Rowe proved decisive for the home side, much to the disappointment of the Old Boys chief: “

“It was a very disappointing result today,” he told Yellow Sport.

“We played some nice football in the first half and looked dangerous but we just didn’t turn up for the second half.

“We looked quite slow to react on and off the ball and our decision making all-round wasn’t great. We did have a couple of very good chances but were unable to find the net.

Manley added: “It’s a shame to be knocked out of the cup but now we must focus all of our efforts on the league”
