Old Southendian & Southchurch Cricket Club has been handed a huge boost with the news that Ahmed Khawaja and Ahsan Yousaf will be extending their stay with the Garon Park outfit.
Allrounder, Khawaja played a pivotal role in the Old Boys 2019 Essex League Division Tow title success, while Yousaf impressed with a century against Leigh-On-Sea during last summers shortened campaign.
“I’m delighted the pair have agreed to stay with the club,” Head Coach, Andy McGarry told Yellow Sport.
“Ahmed has been a big part of our development and success since first joining us.
“To have some stability in terms of a ‘pro’ or ‘overseas’ player is a terrific asset for the club. It makes life much easier in terms of forward-planning and development.
“Previously, Ahmed has excelled in Division One with Harlow. I have no doubt he will do so again for us this year.”
The former Essex man added: “AJ’s signing is another boost. We saw what he is all about with that century. He has plenty to offer us in what is sure to be an exciting summer of cricket for Old Southendian & Southchurch.”
