Rochford Town 1-3 Old Southendian Reserves

LATE GOALS from Greg Molford and Tom Adams clinched a vital Prokit UK Essex Olympian League Division Two victory for Old Southendian’s second string over a dogged Rochford Town side at the Recreation Ground.

Olly Tatton rifled the Old Boys ahead midway through the opening period. However, Rochford hung in the game and restored parity twenty-minutes from time when Tommy Dominguez found the net.

The game looked set for a stalemate before the Seasiders struck twice in the final ten minutes. Speaking to #YellowSport after the match, Old Southendian boss, David Manley. Said: “We’re very pleased with the win and performance today.

“We dominated the game and in all honesty, should have scored a lot more if we could put our chances away.

“Our middle three controlled the game throughout and I thought Greg Molford’s hold up play up top was fantastic. It was a deserved three points, now is the time to put a solid run together and continue the winning streak.”
