Old Boys too strong for AS Rawreth

Old Southendian Reserves 4-0 AS Rawreth

OLD SOUTHENDIAN RESERVES provided their supporters with a ProKit UK Essex Olympian League Division Two four-goal winter warmer as AS Rawreth were beaten by four unanswered goals at Garon Park.

Greg Molford set the ball rolling with a brave head inside the opening quarter of an hour, and the contest was all but over by half-time thanks to a terrific goal from Ben Frankin and a cool finish from promising starlet, Lewis Caplin.

Olly Tatton-Bennett completed the rout, capitalising on a goalkeeping error on the hour to add a fourth. Speaking to Yellow Sport after the match, Old Boys boss, David Manley, explained: “It’s great to get the three points as well as a clean sheet from a match we dominated throughout.

“Our overall performance was brilliant – we killed the game off in the first half with some clinical finishing.

“We’ve picked up seven points from our last three games and are unbeaten in the league since September. We need to continue the good form into the coming week.”
