Old Girls hockey return in big numbers

Old Southendian Ladies Hockey Club returned to training following the lifting of lockdown restrictions with a sizable contingent attending their first evening session back at Warners Bridge.

“We are so excited to be back playing,” Old Girls Club Captain, Amy Elvidge told Yellow Sport.

“We have missed our hockey, it’s such a big part of our lives.”

Elvidge insisted it’s a case of full steam ahead for the club, adding: “The club continues to grow in members – we are so excited for what’s to come throughout next season.

“We’ve got lots of exciting things happening over the summer including six weeks of back to hockey sessions.

Old Southendian Hockey Club welcomes new members looking to return to hockey or take up the game for the first time. We run six men’s teams and three ladies teams as well as youth teams and an active mini hockey section. Find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or email: [email protected]
