PROKIT UK ESSEX OLYMPIAN LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION outfit, Old Southendian, are looking to boost their backroom staff and appoint experienced assistants to work alongside, Connor Lane and David Tubbs.
Due to work commitments, Oliver Thursby and Dean Hazelton, are unable to fully commit to the role, which they held during the last campaign. And with the club now firmly established in the top flight and looking to push on, the importance of making the right appointment isn’t lost upon boss, Lane.
“Ollie and Dean have done a tremendous job, helping us achieve another season of Premier Division football,” Lane told Yellow Sport.
“Nevertheless, with work rightly coming first, David (Tubbs) and I will be looking for someone with experience and time to commit to the position.
“It’s never too early to start preparing for the new season. Despite the league having been declared null and void, we were in a stronger position than the previous year. The club is moving in the right direction.
“We have now established the Old Southendian Youth section, offering us a strong foundation of hungry talented footballers wanting to push through to the top team. Along with the recent opening of our new 3g ground at Garon Park, this is an exciting time to be involved with the club.”
Lane added; “We compete in such a competitive league, but our expectations for next season remains simple. We are not title-winning material yet but will take it game by game and look to build and improve on last term.
“Commitment and loyalty can be a difficult thing to acquire at this level of football – on and off the pitch. But I have never been involved with a club that has both qualities in abundance. We can’t wait to get going again.”
