O’s could meet Spurs in Carabao clash

Leyton Orient could meet Tottenham Hotspur at the third round stage of the Carabao Cup, but only if they overcome Plymouth Argyle at the Breyer Group Stadium.

O’s booked a tie with the West Countrymen after securing a 2-1 success at Forest Green Rovers at the weekend. Argyle will visit East London during the week commencing September 14, with the winners taking on the Lilywhites a week later – dates and kick-off times to be confirmed.

Elsewhere in the second round, West Ham United take on Charlton Athletic at the London Stadium – the winners hosting Leeds Utd or Hull City. Millwall have a home fixture against Cheltenham Town – the side progressing will be at home to either Burnley or Sheffield Utd.

Arsenal, like Tottenham, are exempt until the third round stage. The Gunners have drawn a tricky tie with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
