O’s frustrated by resolute U’s

Leyton Orient 0-0 Colchester United

Leyton Orient was left largely frustrated as struggling Colchester produced a resolute performance to ear a share of the Sky Bet League Two spoils at the Breyer Group Stadium.

Frank Nouble hit the woodwork on his second U’s debut as Colchester were the first to threaten. Conor Wilkinson nodding over as the O’s – looking for a first win in four – responded.

Orient enjoyed the better of the second period but appeared devoid of ideas in front of goal. Sam Ling and Wilkinson passed up reasonable opportunities, while Callum Harriott offered the best hope for Colchester, who are now ten without a win
