O’s hand Jobi a winning start
Grimsby Town 0-1 Leyton Orient
Jobi McAnuff oversaw Leyton Orient’s first Sky Bet League Two victory in eight games, keeping their fragile hopes of a play-off place alive.
McAnuff took charge following the dismissal of Ross Embleton and witnessed his side take the points thanks to a goal midway through the opening period from substitute, Dan Happe.
Happe had been thrown into the action after just five minutes following a nasty injury to Adam Thompson. And he profited from close range after Dan Kemp had fashioned an opening.
The O’s move up to thirteenth place, seven points off the top seven.
They return to Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday, March 6 when they take on Exeter City at St James Park (1pm).
