O’s left frustrated as Iron steal a point

Scunthorpe United v Leyton Orient – Sky Bet League Two – Glanford Park – Report

Scunthorpe United 1-1 Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient extended their unbeaten Sky Bet League Two sequence to eight matches but were ultimately left frustrated as bottom of the table Scunthorpe United snatched a share of the spoils at Glanford Park.

O’s looked set to enhance their play-off credentials when Aaron Drinan finished a superb move involving Alex Mitchell and Hector Kyprianou shortly after the twenty-minute mark.

But Orient were to be pegged back midway through the second period when Jake Scrimshaw reacted sharply from close range.

As a result, the East Londoners drop out of the top seven. Leyton Orient return to Sky Bet League two action on Saturday, November 27 when they face Northampton Town at the Sixfields Stadium (3pm).
