Leyton Orient 2-5 Portsmouth

Leyton Orient found themselves on the wrong end of a heavy pre-season defeat at the hands of Sky Bet League One outfit, Portsmouth at Brisbane Road.

With weather conditions soaring to dangerous levels in the capital, the game was played behind closed doors at the O’s home. Shad Ogie’s own-goal and Joe Pigot handed the south coast club a 2-0 advantage before Paul Smyth reduced the arrears before the interval.

Marlon Pack made it 3-1 to Pomey with a strike from distance and Ronan Curtis capitalised on a foul from Dan Happe to add a fourth from the penalty spot.

Happe pulled one back as the East Londoners refused to throw in the towel. However, Pigot headed his second and Portsmouth’s fifth to complete the scoring.
