Walking footballers from Wakering WFC and Great Wakering Ladies WFC played out a unique tournament at Garon Park in aid of the Parkinson’s Disease Charity.

Four competitive fifteen-minute matches were played out with some excellent football on display.

Speaking to Yellow Sport, Wakering WFC manager, John Burkett, enthused: It was great fun. Friendships have been forged and we raised important funds and awareness for the Parkinson’s Disease Charity.

“All of the matches were played in a good spirit with a well-drilled Great Wakering Ladies producing some good football. This is certainly a fixture we will look at staging regularly.”
