Three teenagers have been charged in connection with an assault on a boy in Pitsea.
The 12-year-old was treated for a knife wound to his back following the incident in Mayfair Avenue on Monday August 24.
The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges against three teenagers for grievous bodily harm with intent.
The girl and two boys, all aged 14 and from Pitsea, are due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 26 August.
A fourth 14-year-old boy, from Benfleet, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released on conditional bail until September 22.
