Police appeal after alleged assault on man in Chelmsford

Police are investigating an assault on a man in Parkway, Chelmsford, and are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.

A 29-year-old man was walking along the road between B&M and Aldi towards the Army and Navy roundabout sometime between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday July 22.

He was approached by three men, who were verbally aggressive. As he tried to walk away, he was hit on the back of the head and assaulted.

He suffered minor injuries to his back, head and hand.

We are keen to speak to anyone who was walking in the area at the time or driving past and saw what happened or has any dash cam footage.

The suspects were described as black, aged 25 to 28 years old, and about 6ft tall, with short black hair. They wore Nike clothing and were carrying Nike bags.
