Police appeal after man is attacked in Westcliff flat

Police are appealing for information after a disturbance in Westcliff last night, Monday July 20.

It is reported that five people forced their way into a flat in Mendip Crescent at around 11.35pm.

A man in his 30s, was stabbed several times in the leg and was sprayed with an irritant substance. A phone was stolen during the incident.

He was taken to hospital for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police believe this was a targeted attack and are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV footage, or who may have seen a small silver car leaving the scene, to get in touch.
